Veterinary physiotherapy is a complementary therapy involving the assessment and treatment of animals. Following veterinary referral, veterinary physiotherapy may be used in addition to veterinary care to assist treatment and long term management of many musculoskeletal and neurological conditions. The aim of veterinary physiotherapy is to reduce pain, improve mobility and restore function. It may also be used to improve performance and minimise the risk of injury in working or competitive animals.
